God Sees You and Your Story
As a writer, it’s easy to get lost in the sea of voices around us. Ever notice how, when you’re driving, your mind sometimes drifts to wondering about the lives of all the other people on the road? Who are they? Where are they going? What do their lives look like? With so many people in the world — many of whom we’ll never meet — it’s almost overwhelming.
When I sit with that thought, I’m reminded of just how many unique stories exist around us. And if I’m honest, I start to wonder: What does my story matter in the midst of all of this? How can my words, my voice, have an impact in a world so full of people, each with their own dreams, struggles, and aspirations?
Maybe you’ve felt this way too. It’s easy to feel insignificant when you look at the sheer number of individuals around you. But, my friend, this is where we remember the truth that can shift our perspective.
God Sees You.
The Bible reminds us in Colossians 1:16, “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth …” (ESV). That includes YOU. Yes, you! You are not a coincidence, and you are certainly not insignificant. You are created with purpose, and that purpose includes your story.
Psalm 139:13 paints a beautiful picture of this: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” (NIV). Think about that. God knit you together — a personal, intentional act of creation. Your experiences, your voice, your unique story — they all matter to Him.
Ephesians 2:10 tells us, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (NIV). That’s right — God has a plan for your story. He’s prepared it in advance, and you’re meant to share it. Not just because you can, but because you were designed to. He knows the people who need to hear your words, and when you choose to speak out, you’re honoring the purpose He has placed on your life.
Your story isn’t lost in the noise. It’s not just one more voice among many. It’s unique, and it has the power to change lives — whether that’s one person or many.

So don’t hesitate. Share your story.
You’re not just telling a tale; you’re revealing a piece of God’s beautiful handiwork, a piece that has been carefully crafted with the potential to reach someone who needs to hear it. Don’t hold back. You never know how God will use your words to touch someone’s life.
Remember: God sees you. He knows you. And He is calling you to share your story.
So go ahead, writer — embrace who you are. Share your voice. Let your words bring light to those who need it. 🌟

Love this! I was at a church conference several years ago when the gal beside me looked around the room and said, “Everybody hear has a story. Everyone has overcome something to be here.” I think of that sometimes at church. Everyone there has a story. God has rescued, or is rescuing, all of us from something. ❤️
